Sirio Berati (tein) · Coded explainer reels

showhow

showhow is an open-source tool from tein, published by Sirio Berati, for making explainer reels drawn in code. The user writes a script and an agent draws the scenes. The tool voices the script with ElevenLabs, times each move to a spoken word, renders at 1080×1920 and 60 fps, and runs checks on the result. Each scene is a React component drawing on a canvas through a small pinhole camera, and every value is a pure function of the frame. The checks cover moves that are too fast, cuts, freezes, bad scene changes and loudness, and each prints PASS or FAIL with a reason. It can be driven from Claude Code through a local MCP server with tools such as voice, align, draft, render and check_render. The repo ships three demo reels (8 to 14 seconds) that render without a key, and making your own needs an ElevenLabs key and whisper.cpp. It is MIT licensed, built on Remotion, and has 46 stars; no releases are listed.
