AI Video Production Editor

AI Video Production Editor is an open-source, local-first desktop app (Electron and React) for AI filmmaking, made by LudwigKienle. It keeps the script, director pass, storyboard, generated shots, edit, colour grade and export in one project folder on the user's machine, using the user's own API keys for fal.ai, Replicate, Gemini, xAI, ElevenLabs and Runway. Users can pick a model per shot or choose Auto, which routes shots to different image and video models; a Studio Agent can run phases of the workflow. It also includes 3D previs (reference image to 3D blockout, keyframed camera moves used as motion references), a moodboard, a research graph and DaVinci-style editing and colour tools. The October 2026 update adds a Local AI workspace supporting local LLMs through Ollama, LM Studio or OpenAI-compatible servers, open-weights image and video models in ComfyUI, and Draw Things on Apple silicon. It is released under GPL-3.0, has 155 stars, and the latest release is v3.2.0 (28 October 2026), with macOS and Windows downloads.
