OpenFilm

Moved from Week 44. OpenFilm is an open-source AI video agent that lets Claude Code, Codex or another coding agent make films as web pages, which you then edit in Studio, a local browser editor. A film is a single film.html of tracks, and each shot is a page that draws any moment of itself through a frame(t) function, using anything a browser can draw, such as three.js, canvas, SVG, CSS, GSAP or video. The same t must always draw the same picture, and a `look` command checks the film by drawing its contact-sheet frames twice in shuffled orders and reporting any that differ, along with page errors, missing fonts or sound files, and cut-off text. Studio edits text, layers and timeline clips and exports video, GIF, stems, subtitles, stills, transparent video, or timelines for Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. It needs Node 22.2+ and ffmpeg, or the desktop app for macOS and Windows; generated voice, music, images and video use your own provider keys. MIT licence, 3,949 GitHub stars, latest release v0.2.7 on 30 October 2026; the repo was created 4 October 2026.
