Z.ai · Legal Domain Model
GLM-Legal
A legal-domain model from Z.ai, announced 12 October and built on GLM-5.3-Flash (covered in week 35), a 320B-parameter mixture-of-experts with 18B active parameters and a 1M-token context. Z.ai says it was mid-trained and then post-trained with reinforcement learning across tens of thousands of realistic legal environments, and reports 19.2% all-pass on Harvey's LAB benchmark across 24 practice areas, 12.5 points above the base model, plus parity with unnamed frontier models on LegalBench and PLawBench, all self-reported. There is no public API: access is through a consultation form, and it also appears in the AutoClaw desktop agent. No weights or licence announced. The blog renders only with JavaScript, so details come from news coverage.
