Unlimited OCR 2

Since Week 30 2026: Baidu released Unlimited OCR 2 on 27 October 2026, a follow-up to its Unlimited-OCR document parsing model. The new version replaces the earlier attention scheme with Sparse Reference Sliding Window Attention (SR-SWA), which compresses text-visual attention over long sequences into a fixed-size set of working references (for example 512 tokens). Baidu says this keeps per-step decoding latency and memory use nearly constant regardless of document length, so documents can be parsed in one pass within a finite context window. It claims state-of-the-art results on MPDocBench (dozens of pages) and on MarathonDocBench, a new hundred-page benchmark released alongside it, but the README gives no scores. Inference runs through Transformers, with a multi-page call that parses all pages in one request, or a customised SGLang build recommended for serving. The repository is MIT-licensed with about 30k stars, and the model is also on Hugging Face, ModelScope and Baidu Cloud.
