OverSeer

OverSeer is a multi-agent world model from researchers at the University of Oxford and Meta. It renders each player's view together with a few fixed auxiliary cameras. The authors argue that world models built only on egocentric streams drift, because revisited places change and players disagree about each other. Since the fixed cameras never move, they act as a persistent shared reference, so places stay as they were when a player returns and one player's actions are visible to the others. A δ-VAE codes each auxiliary stream as one reference frame plus a compact residual, using 108 tokens per latent frame instead of 864, so an extra camera costs an 8× smaller share of tokens than a player stream. The model generates all views jointly, frame by frame, from each agent's first frame, its actions and the camera poses. The project page shows rollouts in Minecraft, Doom and real multi-camera studio capture, and compares against Solaris and γ-World and an ego-only variant on scripted consistency tasks such as reuniting after walking apart and returning to an explosion crater. The page gives no quantitative results. A paper and dataset are linked, but no licence, code release or version is stated.
