MOSS-Image

An open text-to-image model family from the OpenMOSS team, announced 16 October and built on a 5B-parameter DiT backbone designed for efficient generation and fine-tuning, in Base and SFT checkpoints. Beyond ordinary prompts it supports layout-driven generation from structured JSON prompts, which can also drive controlled edits, and the team highlights text rendering inside images. It runs on a Diffusers-based pipeline with a flow-matching Euler sampler. Weights are Apache-2.0 on Hugging Face and ModelScope, with a technical report and user guide. No benchmark numbers on the page. Ostris's AI Toolkit added training support the same day.
