HKUDS (Zhonghang Li, Zongwei Li, Chao Huang) · Agent swarm orchestrator
AutoSwarm
AutoSwarm is an open-source plug-in from HKUDS that lets an agent a user already works with hand tasks to other locally installed agents and combine the results. It can call Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Cursor, GitHub Copilot CLI, Meta Muse Code, CodeBuddy, Hermes, Nanobot, DeepSeek Harness and Grok Build. According to the README, it selects agents by capability, shares context and memory between them, connects their tools and data sources, runs subtasks in parallel, and then verifies and synthesises the output into one answer. It is installed as a Skill for a host agent, which needs Skill support and local command execution, and it runs on Windows, macOS and Linux through desktop apps, CLIs and IDE extensions. The README gives no benchmark results; the coordination algorithms are described in an associated arXiv paper ("AutoSwarm: Automating Agent Swarms") and an archive document. The repository is MIT-licensed, was created on 1 July 2026, has 2,143 stars and no tagged releases.
